Salute The Veterans Hosts LAST Walter Reed Event

We are proud and sad to say that we had the LAST event at Walter Reed on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Mologne House. Adams Ribs from Severna Park catered this event, serving their delicious bbq ribs, chicken, and various salads. Rita’s Ice from Silver Spring was there serving a couple of their best flavors, and the band Remember September from Conneticut performed. We gave out lots of gift cards so the winners could purchase and items they will need for their new rooms at Bethesda Naval Hospital. This event was ALL about giving thanks to these soldiers and their family members and guests. It was enjoyed by all!!!!

Giving Thanks Bar-B-Q

UPDATE – This event has been canceled due to rain.

We welcome Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and Retirees,and their families to join us as our guests…it’s OUR way of giving thanks! Please show your up-to-date I.D. the day of this event. Non-Military Members are invited to attend, there will be a charge for food and beverages, $5.00 for Adults, and $3.00 for children. Location is at Burba Lake.

May 9th Car Show

Saturday May 9th rain date May 8th

Salute the Veterans is proud to host our first car show of 2009. Come join us at American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park for this event and help us give thanks to our Veterans.

Registration is form 9AM to noon
Show is noon to 3:00 PM

50/50 Raffle, Door Prizes, Dash Plaques for the first 100 vehicles. Lots of awards, entertainment, food and beverages.

Vendors welcome – Outdoor 10×20 space $15 Inside 10×10 space $20

Pre-registration $10 Registration form must be received by May 1st
Registration at the gate $15 cash

Automotive Swap Meet

Get out of the house after a long winter and come join Salute the Veterans at our first Automotive Swap Meet of 2009. And because it is April there will be a rain date, April 19th.
